It has a long and fascinating history dating back to the 16th century when it was founded by the Moroccan sultan Moulay Ismail. In modern times, Ifrane has become one of the country’s main tourist destinations due to its unique mix of traditional and modern attractions. Visitors can explore ancient ruins, visit mosques, stroll through markets, take a cable car to Zalagh Mountain for spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, or even ski in winter!
